“Ojiya” is a porridge of rice and other ingredients. It could be called meals for the sick because of well digesting. It’s a typical plain home made cooking and hard to find at restaurants.
However,I found a very stylish ojiya restaurant in Shimokitazawa,,! There was an exposed concrete wall inside and all furnitures in the shop were emphasized the design. They,of course,had very very tasty ojiya and fine other dishes as well.
I had never had such a cute ojiya before,,! : )

下北沢で、おじやカフェ、というものに出会いました。カフェというだけに店内はとてもお洒落でした。コンクリート打ち放しの壁にアンティークの家具、スタイリッシュなオープンキッチン。そんな空間でおじやを食べるのです。とても不思議で、そして美味しかったです: )
