This is not child’s toy.This is Japanese weets “Suhama dango” for which Kyoto is noted. It’s made of soybean flour and thick malt syrup,and very very tasty : )
It’s normally simple shaped,but my mother found this lovely,modern version,,!
It’s very difficult to eat for me,,!

京都に行くと必ず買う和菓子があります。
それは”すはまだんご”です。きな粉を水あめで練り上げたとてもシンプルなお菓子です。素朴で優しい味がクセになります。
味同様、デザインも素朴なものが多いのですが、こんなにポップで可愛いものを発見しました、、！
