Maruyama Sensei, the master of Chanoyu (Japanese tea ceremony) stopped by Andon Ryokan one day, while I was away. As soon as he stepped in our ryokan, he was moved to perform a tea ceremony. I resonated with his idea and decided to try it at our ryokan.
I would like Andon Ryokan to be like a spring on Silk Road, offering a rest place where people from all over the world can share a relaxing moment. "Ichigo ichie" (Treasure every meeting, for it will never recur) is one of the concepts of Chanoyu. I hope that Andon Ryokan will be able to assist you in making wonderful memories.
