• Andon Ryokan's guest rooms are not furnished with sinks, restrooms, or showers. Sinks, restrooms, shower rooms, and elevator are located in the center area of each floor for guests' convenience.
• There is a non-smoking policy throughout our ryokan. Smoking areas are located by the outside porch and on the rooftop terrace.

At the Lounge

• Enjoy the use of free wifi connection and complimentary drinks. (Coffee machine in service till 10:00pm.) Breakfast can be ordered from 7:00am - 10:30am. Our lounge will serve as a great place for reading while you enjoy green tea, exchanging travel tips, and international cultural exchanges.

Our Bath

• Jacuzzi is available for private parties upon reservation for free of charge. Enjoy appreciation of the wall art of Ariake tiles created by a pop artist Mie Ishii and the antique animal collection.

Koagari (Raised tatami-floored seating area)

On the alcove, next to the lounge, the owner's favorite antique piece, Mizuya chest is placed. On top of the chest is decorated with several antique pieces from various regions of Japan. On the table, there are a wooden hibachi from the Edo period, a porcelain hibachi from the Meiji period, and a writing table used at a temple elementary school during the Edo period. Koagari is used for breakfast, tea party Nd origami workshop during the day, and for chatting and reading space during the evening.

We believe it is inevitable that we take time to unwind at the end of the day. Enjoy a relaxing moment drinking tea and taking naps.

Rooftop Terrace "Andon Sky Terrace"

We launched a rooftop terrace when Tokyo Skytree was built on 5/22/2012. We have two tables designed by the artist Mie Ishii. There is a view of Tokyo Tower on the right side of the terrace, and Tokyo Skytree on the left.

There are few tall buildings in shitamachi Minowa district, allowing Tokyo Skytree to stand out when lit at night. It looks just like a huge candle floating in the air.

Andon Ryokan is a great place for breakfast, to enjoy the cool of evening with beer, to sun bathe, reading and yoga at dusk, and relax in the quiet moments of a metropolis.

Tea Corner on Each Floor

At the Tea Corner of 2nd and 3rd floors, we have prepared a selection of teas including Japanese green tea, genmai-cha (roasted brown rice tea,) hoji-cha (roasted green tea,) Earl Grey, Ceylon, rose hip and chamomile. A refrigerator is furnished on each floor. We welcome you to bring your own drinks.

Laundry Room

Laundry room is located on the 5th floor. There are two washers and one dryer. Washer is 200 JPY/cycle, and dryer is 100 JPY/15 minutes. Laundry detergent is available for 50 JPY at the front desk.
