Takarakuji – Lottery Ticket!!!

When end of the year comes, there is a Jumbo Takarakuji, lottery ticket, fever in Japan. We can win five million yen for the first prize. Many Japanese purchase lottery tickets and wish for the luck. This lottery ticket shop is located at Okachimachi, station next to Ueno, and famous for having innumerable winners. There is also a little shrine next to it so we can pray for wining right away. I bought some tickets for myself too. I hope I can win for the prize !!! even for the last prize (300 yen)!!!

Candy art

I went to a candy art shop in Sendagi. Crafting candy art is called Amezaiku, which is a traditional Japanese craft.

I watched them make candy animals. It seems like it takes a lot of practice to make these candies.

I was impressed. If you want to make your own candy art,you can sign up for a class at the candy

shop.Next  time  I want to take the class!!

Yokohama Chinatown

I went to Chinatown in Yokohama which is the largest one in East Asia. We enjoyed fine Chinese food and bought some foodstuff and tea in the town. I could enjoy the feeling of traveling abroad! Ryoko

Christmas illumination in Ginza

Christmas season has just started in Tokyo! I very like walking around Ginza and Marunouchi area in this season because there are beautiful illuminations all over the place! I especially look forward to seeing lovely Christmas tree in front of Mikimoto building in Ginza every year : ) Ryoko

My Taiwanese friend came to Japan.

We wore Kimonos in Asakusa and we walked around Sensouji.

The Kimono suited her and she was so excited to be wearing a Kimono.

I like Kimonos, but wearing a Kimono is quite difficult for people today.

It’s not a habit to wear one, so I had not worn a kimono in 10 years.

I want to wear a Kimono again.

You can rent Kimono at Asakusa!!
