Fuurin

2010.07.04

The hot and wet days are here in Tokyo.
We displayed Fuurin(wind bell) in a lounge to avoid this muggy weather..!
Many beautiful antique things are displayed everywhere in Andon and these Fuurin are also Japanese antique.I really like the lovely red color : )
I hope these Fuurin make us more confortable in wet rainny season.

Tanabata

2010.07.02

I went to Tokyo Mid Town in Roppongi to see my friend. She lives in Chiba prefecture, she is always busy so we can’t see very often. That day she had to leave Tokyo before 5pm, I wanted take more time but we had fun a lot : ) We had lunch at “Napule”. Apparently their pizza is quite famous but I didn’t know that until we arrived there. We got “Napule” before 12pm but it’s already full and we had to be in the line, I think we were waithing more than 30 minutes.
But It’s worth waiting! their pizza is sooo tasty and I loved it ; )  then I repeated “delicious” many times!!
And also we joined an event. It called “Tanabata” which is very big and traditional in Japan.
Correctly, It’s on 7th of July.

Usually, we write a wish (but I wrote many) on a piece of paper and hung it on the bamboo, It’s like a decolation on the picture behind me.You might see often this kind of deco in this season.
☆I hope my wish has come true☆

Cloudy Day @ Omiya Bonsai Art Museum

2010.07.01

As I introduced you The Omiya Bonsai Art Museum last week, so I went there few days ago. It’s located in a rural area of Omiya near Toro staion on Utsunomiya line.

Though the musuem’s architecture is very sleek and modern , there are many historic stories within specially Bonsai History. Unfortunately, I could not take a picture inside of the exhibition area or the open air Bonsai Garden. So, I tried to take one picture at a lobbythrough the glass window.
Inside the exhibition area, the story of Bonsai is explained from the Bonsai Pot, Types of Bonsai, The meaning of each parts of Bonsai etc. until the sample Japanese style room to demonstrate the way of Japanese art and Bonsai decoration.
You will not be disappointed to visit Bonsai Art Museum if you are Bonsai Lover. Don’t miss the Bonsai Class for foreigners on the third Sunday of every month to learn how to plant and nurture Bonsai. For more information, please visit the website that I attached in previous blog or ask Andon’s staff.

Final game

2010.06.30

It was the final game for Japan. I watched the TV with Yuka and Machiko which was second times. We use to watch TV together Holland and Japan that  was lost. We try to watch again however Japan lose in penarty kicks. What’s a pity ! I fell sorry for a penarty kicker. He cry so much. I was understand his sitiation. I have quit a new and fickle soccer fan today so I can sleep well.
